Reporting Parking Issues
To access support from the Traffic Warden Appointed in the Area take pictures quote Disruption of traffic flow: Section 36(2)(c) and Section 36(2)(k) of the 1997 Road Traffic (Traffic and Parking) Regulations. The online Traffic Watch system — garda.ie/en/trafficwatchreport — will allow road users to report non-emergency traffic-related incidents using the online reporting form. Members of the public are reminded that 999/112 should be used to report ongoing offences which amount to an emergency situation.
The incidents which are reportable online include those which could be reported to Traffic Watch over the phone, including speeding, dangerous driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, careless driving or driving without due care and attention, mobile phone use, dangerous overtaking, ignoring traffic lights or signs, vehicles with unsafe loads, dangerous faults, parking offences, a learner driver driving unaccompanied, and insurance, NCT and tax offences.

The Plassey Residents Association has the following aims regarding parking in the area.
- Easy access for the residents to get their vehicles to and from their homes safely.
- Easy access for service vehicles in particular emergency service vehicles.
- To provide a safe environment to promote walking and cycling in the estates
and to protect pedestrians and cyclists in particular those who are most
vulnerable (E.g. very young and old members of the community)
Limerick City and County Council and An Garda Siochana jointly present “Think Before You Park,” an essential campaign urging motorists to consider the broader implications of their parking choices.

Following the Plassey Residents Association meeting of May 31st 2023 a Sub Committee has been formed to propose solutions to parking issues caused by Houses of Multiple Occupancy and overflow of UL car parks.
